High School Science Teacher Asteer Abdelmassih from Falls Lake Academy visited us with her Chemistry/Forensic Science class.
The visit was hosted by the Organic and Carbon Electronics Cluster at NC State University and took place on Centennial Campus.
The morning started with a tour of the Ade labs organized by Subh Mukherjee and hosted by Van Doan Vu and Vahid Mahdikhah.

Left: Vahid Mahdikhah shows a group of students a fluorescent compound.
Right: Van Doan Vu explains how thin-films of conjugated polymers are used to make solar cells.
From there, the group moved on to a tour of the Liu labs hosted by Ziqi Wang and Saqlain Raza.

The first lab they visited after lunch was the Amassian lab where Jake Mauthe showed them the robotic materials discovery platform they built.

Boyu Guo continued the tour by showing the students the system of interconnected glove boxes used to prepare thin-films devices.

The day concluded with a tour of the Li Lab led by Kaleb Mallon.
